I'm sure plenty of people have their houses sprayed or do it themselves?

What's the general consensus on something like this in the near vicinity of the tank/sump.

I usually spray myself with Ortho or Spectrum but haven't done it lately and usually avoid the small area where the tank is, BUT with my frag tank being in the garage, and more and more webs starting to show, do you guys think its safe to spray in there as long as I'm really careful with over-spray or tarp the tank off temporarily?

what I'm really wondering is... after you spray, there is a strong smell... can this affect anything?

also, does the spray usually just stick to where you spray it once its dried, or is there possibility of it becoming airborne and getting into the tank?

Well, when you do that kinda stuff, you're really taking your chances. BUT, if you absolutely have to or can't find a 'green' solution to the problem, I'd tarp the tank until the stuff drys.

If you're running a skimmer, make sure to turn it off for a while so it doesn't suck contaminated air in.
