PH Problem

    Hi me again haveing a problem keeping my PH up.Its keeps going down to 8 and 8.2 I like to keep it @ 8.4 my reek seens to like it there, What can I do to to keep it @8.4

    I use seachem PH buffer. it works great for me... Ill use it every other day to get it up at the point i want it to... and then once in a while to keep it at that point.

    There is nothing wrong with it being at 8.2 or even 8.0. There are many ph buffers on the market though to help you maintain your ph.

    Adding buffer to raise the PH is not the best solution. It could raise alkalinity to an unsafe level.

    Low PH can be caused by several factors. Most common problem for me is excess carbon dioxide buildup in my house. Low alk could also be the problem if you aren't testing for it.
