    My ph sits at 8.0 I. Is this ok? Or is it too low

    How old / how long has the tank been set up?
    what time of day do you test the PH - it will always be at its highest around end of day when lights have been on

    PH anywhere between 7.8 and 8.3 is generally OK (bit higher is OK also)

    Tank has been up 3 months. As far as lighting goes since I don't have coral just have florescent strip lighting. Should I put an air stone in tank for better oxy/ co2 exchange?

    Dint sweat it. 8 is fine. Its the fluctuatuons that hurt. Test in morn and at end of day.
