    Testing and Feeding

I fed the Scondy and the Condy today. The donut coral is facinating to watch eat. I fed it two small bits of silverside. Apparently it was hungry. I fed my condy the remaining bits of flesh. I fed the corals and sea apple some phytoplankton. Did some testing also.

    Temp: 82
    pH: 8.2
dKh: 15 (after adding some RB)
    Ca: 440 (did a drip---target 470)
    Mg: 1410 (did a drip---target 1500)

The frogspawn is not looking good these days. I moved it to a different location in case the Kenya tree and Scondy were messing with it chemically. Don't know if this is possible, but I'll know soon.

    Testing

    Temp: 77
    pH: 8.2
    NH4: 0.3
    NO2: 0
    NO3: 25
    dKh: 10.5
    Ca: 445
    Mg: 1500
    PO4: Present at low amounts

I added bicarbonate, Calcium and Magnesium. I also dosed with 1.5 tsp of Red Sea Calcium +3 to add a few trace elements. I will retest tonight and see what the results are. I was a little surprised by the big drop in dKh and the lack Mg decrease. Curious. Another rookie mistake, I added Mg assuming that it had dropped. So I would expect the levels to be around 1560 now. But that is OK.....I followed with a little more Ca to balance and will bring my bicarb up to around 14 as well.

Everything looking good. Brain is doing better. Frogspawn, while not in full swing is looking better. The sea apple is on top of one of my turbos. I will have to rescue it. The mushrooms are looking better than they ever have and the Scondy is looking wonderful. I am pretty happy with the general appearance as it stands.

Congrats John, I really really like that sea apple...It's just something about that imminent possibility for it to go loony and wipe out your tank, nothing like livin' on the edge!!:leer:
