It is hard to find a fish store that has good stuff & not overpriced. I live in a small town, basically in the middle of "Tim-Bulk-Two",(as Seabass would say ::)), so I have to leave town to go to a fish store. In the closest major town to me is a pretty nice store for equipment. There's another for livestock that's pretty nice. But I also go to, or used to go to, Aquarium Adventure in (Sawmill)Columbus, OH. The store is big & really fancy. Though they are pushy(as with the stereotype of most fish stores) to get you to buy things & they are also way overpriced.

Well, after vising with the "Gma" today my dad & I went to this store called "Phishy Business". It was recommended to me by a fellow reefer from my local club. The store is small, but they have a lot of corals! [IMG] What they do have in stock is really nice & appears well cared for. They had some cool fish too. In stock I saw a queen angel, a few lawnmower blennies, a shewl of anthias, a purple firefish, and a tailspot blenny...just to name a few. Some nice maxima clams in the frag tangs even. I didn't buy anything, just looking for today. But the guy in the store asked if I needed help with anything, which was nice. But he was not pushy, trying to make me buy things, like I would get at some other stores.

I told him about my small tank I have now & my plans to upgrade. [IMG] He agreed that the g3 skimmer would easily be enough to handle a 75g reef, which I figured. [IMG] I also noticed they had some equipment that I normally can only get online(Eheim return pumps & the larger skimmers, some lighting).

While I was not at the store for a long time, I already think this would be a great store to go to & buy from. they were nice & obviously new what they were doing & how to care for things. They were not overly pushy to get me to buy things. [IMG] I would like to go back once my tank has been set up, and maybe go here to get some supplies for the build even.

As I live in a small town, it is hard to find a fish store, let alone a good one. This is a little out of the way, but not too bad, sense I can go here after visiting with family. I would recommend this store to other reefers.

I agree,i live in southeast ohio just south of nowhere, they are about 1 1/2 hours from me :(.So i only go up when i have at least $100 to spend to make it worth my while. It's been probably a year since i've been there but they do have a good selection with decent prices.Nice, clean store and the tanks look like they are well maintained.
