I purchase and set up a Two Little Fishes PhosBan Reactor on Saturday.
Ive had a algae problem for a few months, different kinds, green bubble, red hair, green moss looking and red slime (from time to time). Ive always tested my water (got a 55gal), everything is on the dot of what it should be, Phosphate is 0 and still get the algae. So this time i thought id get a Phosban Reactor, since ive heard nothing but great things about it.

My question is, how long do i have to run it before i see a difference?

ive used the whole 150g supply, when it states for a 55gal to use 50g.

The lenght of time until you see a difference will depend on the core issue of what is causing the problem. Patience is a must with this hobby.

A side note i would use the recommended amount of media for your tank as phosban is meant to be changed out regularly and it isnt cheap. That and more is not always better.

Have patience and give it time to work

As stated by sean p f I would use what 2Lf`s recomends to fill it with.to much media and it does not fluidize right, and will not work like it should..when I first hooked mine up ,I really didnt see any difference until a few weeks later.just be patient it will start to help..also check out bulkreef supply for their GFO media works good and you get more for your money..
