    shackman,

Not sure about the question but I was hoping you could help me. I was also wanting to put one of these on my set up. Did you get a seperate pump or did you plumb it through the return pump of your sump?

A pic of your set up would be great if you have time!

did you grab a maxi-jet 400? if so i think half to 3/4 way open should be a slow tumble that is right where you need it.

A slow tumble should do it. Be aware that those beads will quickly absorb the phosphate, but once they are exhausted, will start to release phosphate back into the water.

Saw you're from Green Bay... my home town before the military moved me :)

If you are use Phosban GFO media and you have a 57 galon system you should be starting with no more than 25 grams or about 2.5 level tablespoonfulls of media. The flow should be around 60 gallons per hour to just slightly boil or roll the surface of the media.

Any more media than 5 grams (1/2 tablespoon) in the beginning will bleach corals in a hurry.

After a week os so change the media and add about 25 grams again then work up to a full dose or 10 grams per 10 gallons of tank water, in your case thats 57 grams of GFO full strength, a little short of 6 spoonsfulls. DO NOT exceed this amout as it will have disasterous results.

Theses directions come with the Phosban reactor and Phosban GFO media.

I will be picking up another reactor for gfo, and calcium as well

There are a ton of threads on biopellets on all the reef forums, you should be able to do a search on biopellets and bring lots up.
