phosphate remover

    hi everyone have recently placed some phosphate remover into my filter am seeing some results only been in there for around 9 days my phosphate levels were over 10mg but now after realising that the pet shop i was obtaining my ro water was contaminated as owner never changed ro filter now using uncontaminated water as well as some phosguard and media bag levels are coming down need to find out please that once levels are acceptable should i remove the media bag and also when i have my lights on there seem to be lots of tiny bubbles covering my rock have reduced lights to 4-5 hours please help and many thanks

    Remove the media bags when the levels are down.
    You may find that the Phosphate remover may be "SPENT' - meaning worthless now.
    You may need to replace it again before your done. But once your levels are down you don't need to leave it in as long as your not introducing phosphates into your tank

    Yes but even just feeding your fish can add phosphates. If you have a reef tank most people run it 24/7. Some corals are real sensitive to phosphates.
