    most internet service providers give you at least .5 mbps of upload speed. Anything less than that would be extremely slow.

    Puffer, in a search bar type in; speakeasy speed test. I find this one to be fairly accurate. Play around with close locations and far ones to see your up load and down load speeds.

    yep...quick easy test. Mine is 15Mb/s down, .5Mb/s up.

    My job is 60Mb/s down 22Mb/s up!!!! We have an OC48 for internet...o yeah!

    so i chose the los angeles location and it shows that download speed is 2512kbps (314 KB/sec transfer rate) and 431 kbs(53.9 KB/sec transfer rate)

    That is real slow now a days. 2512 kbps (kilo bytes per second) equals 2.5 mega bytes per second. Like we are saying 6-8 Mbps is where you should be but I don't know what package speeds your internet provider offers(ISP). The up load of 431 is real low, 1-2 Mbps is good.
    Check with your ISP to see if you can get more or at least contact them and tell them your results and make sure you are getting or not getting what you are paying for.
