I have hundreds maybe even thousands of pineapple sponges in my sump/fuge... Should I be concerned that there are so many? And should I worry about them spreading to my DT? They also appear to multiply like crazy, I'll scrap them off the front of my fuge and they are back in just a few days like I never took them off. I'll also recently noticed them growing inside of my skimmer now too.

No worries. They are kinda like bristle worms in that thier population is dependant on the food supply. I have so many in my sump that sometimes I'm afraid they'll block flow thru the bubble trap lol. But then they die off for awhile and it all starts over again.
