    Well, corals basically touch something with a sweeper tentacle, then make a whole bunch of tiny "strings" that attach them to the second coral. Those strings are filaments from the coral's stomach, and they digest the other coral in its place.

    What the sponges do it kinda similar - they have a bunch of filaments with hooks on the end, and they grab the crustacean that way.
