I am reading conflicting stuff on the internet about them.
The main question is how many?

I would like to get 1 male and 3 females. Some people say they are best kept in larger groups but others say not more then 1 male with 2 females

    What do you think?

Does that mean odd numbers total as in 1 male 2 female ? or odd numbers meaning 1 male and odd number - 3 female

I am guessing 1 male and 2 female
    Just want to make sure

    Sorry

    Total

    1 male, 2 female
    1 male, 4 female
    1 male, 6 female
    and so on

Keep in mind that the pink squares get quite large for anthias. Get several types of high quality foods before purchasing any anthias.

They are beautiful fish. Some day when I have a larger tank I will get a group of them.

I couldn't believe how beautiful the male is (in person)
I have seen them before but there colors were never this good.
From what I have read you need to feed quality foods.
The other problem is getting the male to eat at first. That is already done, I seen him eat. These just came to the store on a shipment yesterday.
Just talked to the store owner and bought them!

    Cant wait.

I am a little worried about the 40 gal QT.
The male is 4" and the females 3 to 3.5"
I do have stuff for them to hide in but worried about them being stressed in the QT tank

Any Thoughts would be appriciated. I want to keep these fish healthy and ALIVE. :)

They are beautiful fish. If you have them eating already then you are set. Should be fine in a 40 for a while.
