    hello everyone, i added a asian pistol shrimp 8 days ago and still have not seen him. does this sound normal ? no amm,nitrites,or nitrates.thanks for any input.

    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    Sometimes they molt within a day or two of introduction. After that they stay hidden for a couple days.

    Typically you can hear some snapping at night when they are active.

    hello, i still have not seen or heard the shrimp yet. it has been 2 weeks. should i throw in the towel on this one and try another ? thinking about a tiger pistol this time. thanks for any info.

    Yes if you have not seen him or heard him or witnessed any sand storms, you should probably throw in the towel on this one.

    I agree get a Tiger one this time, very hardy pistols.

    i was afraid you would say that. i do have a orange spotted shrimp goby that i hope the two will pair up. thank you.

    picked up a tiger pistol shrimp today and he is digging already. in my other tank i feed my trigger half clams. should i feed him a half clam or just rely on frozen food to get to him ? thanks for any input.
