popeye its probably a bacterial infection in the eye. they best thing you can do is make sure it has great water quality.

Popeye..usually caused by an infected abrasion. Erythromycin in a QT tank for 3 days (or follow directions) should do the trick.

+1 on the bacterial infection. If you feed garlic every meal, some people say it loses it's effect.

yea and i see the point, its like alota stuff, its like tylenol take it everyday and soon there will be no effect so youll have to take 2

the amount of garlic in it is very small so i dont think it has a huge effect but im going to look at some other foods and see whats available.

I bought a coral beauty a couple months ago and it had popeye. I put in a qt tank but couldnt get it to eat, eventually died. The big problem was it was unable to see the food.

+1 on popeye, try to keep your temp down, thats a usual cause. keep around 78 and try to make sure he's eating. he'll be fine under less stressful situations.
