OK so i have the reef octopus bh-800 skimmer (i think thats what its called) and its a backback. I will attach picture in like 10 minutes but the pump is actually in the tank, not in the skimmer. So, the pump (for me) isnt in the display its in the filter section of my tank cause its a cadlight. I was wondering where i can get a pvc pipe that matches the one this skimmer uses so i can lower the pump and the return because with it at its current height, i would have to:
#1 main the water lever so its really high
#2 the water level that i have to maintain is way too high for my liking. When the water is at the aquired hight for the skimmer, the water doesnt overflow into the overflow, the waters full.

please keep in mind i have a cadlight, with that being said, it changes a lot of stuff. If you have no idea what im talking about im attaching pictures in 5-10 minutes

edit: o yeah and i tried going to lowes but there are no pvc that fits into the fitting... i didnt use creativity so maybe one of you could help me out because this is the last thing i have to fix and then i can finally fill my tank with water :)

I am willing to bet that if you make the pipe longer, your skimmers performance will decrease. I would talk to the manufacturer and see what they say.

The reason you cannot find pvc to fit is that the pipe and fittings used on your unit are either metric or custom design to fit their application. And for adding length / depth to the intake you will need to increase the output of the pump to make up for friction loss and gravity.
