Hello eveyone I have a 150g tank that has been up and cycling for two plus months. I just finished moving all my fish over (Chocolate Tang, Naso, Mated clowns, scorpas Tang and a blue hippo tang) from a copper quartine tank in a 2-3 week period.

I noticed this morning that there is a small Ick out break but it is my hippo tang that has seemed to have taken the worst of it. With the size of the tank it is almost impossiable for me to get her out with all the live rock.

I am looking to see if anyone might have some ideas in getting rid of the ick with out stressing everyone out more by trying to catch them and put them back in the quartine tank....

A healthy diet and just the fish relax. A stressed fish will be more prone to letting ICH get the best of it. You could try garlic, but there is nothing really stating that it helps with ICH. Some people has success with it and others will say that it does nothing at all. I would just make sure that you are feeding a quality food high in nutrients. If it gets worse, then you can take further actions.

How bad does the fish have ICH by the way? A picture could really help as well.

Dont chase it around the tank. You will stress it. Just let it take care of itself. Hippos are notoriously susceptible to catching ich.

This is one reason why I bought an UV Sterilizer for my tank as well. I have read that ICH is free floating in the water column until it finds a suitable host. Of course somebody is going to say that they don't help with ICH, but it is peace of mind for me lol. That helps put me at ease lol.

I use this stuff called the fishkeeper, that is basicaly vitamins and amino acids which seems to really help my fish when they had it. I use it regularly, even when the fish aren't sick. i use it in my freshwater tank as well. Soaking food in selcon helps too.
