    Hmmm.

A lot of times problems with the eye are related to a physical injury or less than ideal water parameters.

Is there any other fish that could be bullying this fish?

    What are you feeding?

I would google Melafix and see if it seems appropriate to your situation.

she stopped eating the shrimp, flakes, and algea cubes i feed the fish, and will only eat the algea that grows in the tank, the only other fish in the tank are 1 O. clown, 1 green spot puffer ( very docile, and seems warry of the foxface) and a coral banded shrimp

You need to get real tests done. Nitrite being almost zero isn't zero. pH being seven is majorly low. How long has the tank been running? What is your alk?

I disagree with a Ph of 7 being majorly low. It's not.

i'm sorry i didn't welcome you to the forum here's my late welcome, low ph in general is caused by retention of CO2 (carbon dioxide) this can definity cause cloudiness in eyes, tangs need oxygen, imo in higher concentrations then most fish i believe you are having a carbonate/bicarbonate buffer issue. a ph of 8 is ten times more basic than a ph of 7, seawater with a ph of 8 has 1/10 the h+ ions of seawater with a ph of 7, if i were you i would increase cirulation do a 15% water change, increase light cycle and start a 2 part calcium and alk treatment.

Yes a ph of 7 is low. I would follow proreefers advice. Opening a window or two can help with the co2 problem.

But yet not a contribution to assist with resolving the issue, only to point out that you disagree.

Any stress can contribute to eye issues, a pH of 7 during the day could very well swing down to 6 something at night.

    I hope it pulls through.

Reduce any stress by removing issues with water chemistry, other fish aggression and dietary issues. As I posted earlier condition is often a result from physical injury from rock work or another fish.

    Good Luck
