    Coral or anemone?
It suddenly appear on to the rock oneday morning.
I think its from the live rock. It is in the 4Gallon nano tank. And there is two small pieces of live rock and little bit of sand.

Aiptasia anemone. Prolific little buggers that can sting corals. If it's just one i'd go buy aiptasia-x and let him have it before theres 100s.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Me I would just chuck the rock, or let it dry and recycle it.

Get two pieces of dry rock and use that.

I could understand if you had a lot of this rock but for a 4 gallon tank, not worth the headache by a long shot.

Use 50/50 lemon juice and white vinegar, it does not take much. Inject directly into base of the aptasia with a syringe and needle.

    say bye bye to aptasia.

Just a noob here but doesn't the store bought aptasia x have a sticky substance that will close off the aptasias mouth to keep it from releasing spores into the rest of your Tank? Will your mixture do the same?

This looks like a relatively new tank. I would just chuck the rock and buy a new one (ideally from a different source than where you bought that one). If you bought both rocks from the same place, they both may have it. I do not have experience with aiptasia, but I do know that it is a major headache.

you dont have to throw the rocks away....like stated by corailline..recycle...if you want to take them out to rid them of pest..just boil them for awhile..I have used a outdoor cooker...big pot of water..boil...rinse...let it set out in the sun or whatever...reuse right away..dont throw them away.. : ) jmo

I have killed off all the aptasia in my tank with no spores released. The mixture is so acidic the aptasia melts away.

The OP should NOT dry the rock in the sun then reuse it right away in their 4 gallon tank. This will cause a cycle in the tank for sure. The rock must be cycled in a separate tank, tub, or bucket.
