I dont see a problem with adding the LR little by little. Just check your paras once a week. I added about 10 lbs of LR and my parameters didnt move. I think that you guys are making a big deal out of this, your drowning in a glass of water.

    Maybe some.

Don't trust his nose and put all your livestock at risk.

IMO adding more stuff will hurt the cause... and cause more worry! You stated above that you were worried that you added too much too soon, which you did in my opinion, so why add more?? You should be able to escape this with minimum loss, but let it sit for a couple months! Add your rock, test param. and wait. You have to take this process slowly. Nothing but bad things happen fast in SW tanks. Take the time to read, read, and read some more before you add anything else. Remember, your tank is a baby, still very young.

I'd take the advice that bmshehan offered up put no more animals in there and put all the rock and other stuff you want to add d it now and set back and let it ride with skimmer and pumps and only actinic lights get the Ca. DKH and Mag levels up and steady and just wait with what you have in there now as animals for 3 months and see what makes it through.. If they all die Just put a single yellow tailed blue damsel in there to keep the cycling steady and level at a constant Bio load. No water changes and you can test for Ammonias and NO2 and all if you want to ? But at three months it will be ready to run on its own no testing required ..

thanks again, fellas. just another question. i'm noticing my protien skimmer is taking out a lot of water, from my tank(refugium). must have suck an inch in the last hour. for a while it was'nt sucking out that much water in a week. what gives? i thought it was mostly the foam, that gets pushed out.

I add 2/3 kg of live rock from the lfs every week, its fully cured and every time i get a new critter, a joy to watch latest one was a purple crab porcelain i think.
