+1,a drilled tank with sump setup is probably the cleanest looking there is,short of having a seperate equipment room.If your sure you really want to do a reef it might be good to rethink and plan your system beginning with the best tank for you.The place that you bought your tank might work with you if you talk to them about it,just be sure you have a good idea what you need. The problem could be that whatever they have in stock may be the limit of your choices.

just get a overflow with a sump.. my overflow is clear and only 6"x6" box in lefttop corner of my tank. drain hose is behind tank with 1 return hose. cant see them because I have background paper on my back glass.. I have a 60g sized wetdry, that ive been using since 1999. since converting salt to reef tank in last 10 months, Ive removed my bioballs and replace with LR rubble. removed all foam filters. added a few mangoves and chaeto algae down in wet/dry with a 120w grow light.. so you could just get a wet/dry with overflow box for now, and convert it down the road too..

something like this comes with everything except return pump.. if you have enough room get the bigger wd-100cs..

Reef Aquarium Filtration: Eshopps Wet-Dry Filters

    WD-75CS 18" x 10" x 16" H Single 300 gph 10-75 gallons
    WD-100CS 18" x 12" x 16" H Single 400 gph 75-100 gallons

something like this comes with everything except return pump.. if you have enough room get the bigger wd-100cs.. and remember to budget for a skimmer..

    example return pump:
    6HF 3.9" x 2" x 2.5" 6 ft 350 * 5/8" 15

Aquarium Water Circulation and Water Pumps: Taam Rio® HyperFlow™ Aqua Pump

    example in-sump skimmer:
    Marine Pro 100, CD-34168

Aquarium Protein Skimmer: Marineland Pro Skimmers

So you can shop around for whatever brands/models you want.. but just for a basic wet/dry with skimmer for your 75g its going to be around: $175+25+150= $350 +/- for NEW.. you might be able make your own sump with a 10g tank etc.. or even look for used stuff on craigslist etc.. I would say since you have a tank and stand only right now. be prepared to spend around $800-$1200 bucks in the next couple months to get everything you need (tank, stand, testkits, chemcials, sump, skimmer) and to stock tank up with live rock, sand, corals, fish, inverts.. and t5 lighting at least.. you'll want at least a 4bulb t5 fixture.. so as you can see money adds up quick with reef tanks... just be ready thats all..

if moneys tight, just get the sump, pump, skimmer, sand and liverock. .and get the tank cycling for at least 4-6 weeks.. that will give you time to save for lighting for corals.. then get lighting then get livestock for tank.. any questions, just ask.. goood luck its worth it.. you wont watch TV any more and go on a diet for lack of food money.. lol :)
