aside from the obvious color difference these seem to have come from the same mold IMO
A number of companies OEM for other companies and it may be a Jebo owned mold for example and they churn out blank product in various colours and add badges, labels etc to make them customer specific

based on the 2 links - I would go with the Best Choice option because the specs are the same, but its 10 bucks cheaper and more importantly the add shows the parts that are included, so you can see the trays, spray bar, hoses etc and whilst everyone would assume if you buy the other 1 you would naturally get those parts, seeing them in the add gives me confidence they will be there

Thanks for the quick reply. I do not have a sump and wanted to free up some space on the back of my 55 to install a skimmer/fuge hang on the back thing. Would switching from the Emporer to a canister be any problems? The only thing I fear is somehow the canister breaking and leaking all the water on the floor while I am at work.

I have had multiple cannister filters, and have never had a single incident of water leaking that was not my fault ( turn off the taps, before disconnecting the hoses!)

when you do switch over, dont forget to use the media you have in the HOB filter to seed the cannister

if I have the choice between two canister filters. They both pump about 500 gph. The first one uses 32 watt pump and the second uses 55 watts. Would it be smarter to purchase the first pump because it is more effiecient or the second because it has more power?

watts are units of electricity consumed

if both pump 500 gph go with the lower wattage one as that saves you money

Both units are 35Watt units. One of them is almost exactly half the size though. You can fit a lot more media in the Best Choice model.

Otherwise, they are almost exact duplicates, containing the exact accessories.

thanks, I happened to find another in an ebay listing that was listed at 500gph but used 55 watts. I wasn't sure if that meant more power or just less efficient.

Ahh, the width. I didn't even notice that. Thank you. I knew someone was going to catch an oversight of mine.
