so gonna help my buddy tonight. he has a marineland 45 cube.

It has 1 1/4" threaded bulkheads coming out the back. 1 for overflow and 1 for return, anyways the kid has a sicce 1.5 return pump that has a 1/2 output.

So sicce to flex tubing then how do i go from 1/2 flex tube to 1 1/4 threaded bulkhead? haha

Are you sure it is 1 1/4" That is not standard with overflows. First, you need to go from 1/2" hose barb to 1", then a 1 1/4" male thread x 1 1/4" slip, with a bushing to reduce th pipe to 1". I hope that made sense, some of those parts may not be at HD

yep 1 1/4 pvc female to slip, then to a 1 1/4 to 1/2 in reducer pushing, then to a slip x male then to a 1/2 female 90 deg to barb. lol was so simple once i got in front of the bins at home depot!

tank is plumbed! took me about 2 hrs. my buddy is so afraid its going to leak. he has no faith.

lol, I'm glad you found the stuff at HD. For smaller projects that is the best way to go, piece it together with the stuff in front of you. With a house, a scale model would be better, lol
