Got this from the LFS the other day, just looking for some info on it. Have it about 6-8 in from water surface. Under reefbreeders 120w LED.

Was wondering if it is normal for them to release a mucus like stuff? I cant find really any info about them.

It looked grate the past days since i have had it. But this morning it was releasing mucus stuff. I gave it some more flow because i read it needs med-high flow and can bleach out if it does not have enough flow?

    any info would be great!

It was just recently fragged. That pic was taken maybe a half hour after i dipped it in coralRX and put it in my tank. So it was still acclimating. Looked great the rest of that day, and yesterday. Then this morning it was releasing mucus stuff. I will have to take a pic tonight when i get home. Hopefully it will look better then.

Ok well it was slimming because it was dipped and looks stress because it was recently fragged.

No biggy, it 's hardy coral and relatively cheap.

It should perk up in a few days.

Saltwater Aquarium Corals for Marine Reef Aquariums: Green Pocillopora damicornis - Aquacultured

hmm this basically says the opposite of the post you linked. Live aquaria claims it to be peaceful while the other post says it will sting other corals? haha

"This Aquacultured Green Pocillopora Damicornis Coral is peaceful and can be placed in close proximity to other similar peaceful corals in the reef aquarium." Liveaquaria.com

"secondary to growth rate and it's ability to sting other sps with long sweeper tentacles. " link you posted.

    so uhhh?

    Cheryl's article is correct.

9 times out of 10, personal experience from reefers that have been doing it for years is correct.

    Toalhisdoom:

I have exposed skeleton on some of my RP frags that were too close to my Pocillopora frags. In fact I have Pocillopora growning on the exposed skeleton of RP.

If you look at the images you can see long sweeper tentacles.

    Is your question about placement?
