Pod Growth rate

So am finally seeing my pod population boom in my fuge. I made a small pile of rubble and used the prefilter from my mag pump and put it on the top of the pile, its swarming with pods. My question is how long should I wait before I take the prefilter and shake it out in the DT? I figured it should be another 3 or 4 good months before I add a mandarin is this ok?

 

I would go ahead and shake some into the DT. I would wait at least 3-4 months to make sure you have plenty before adding a mandrin. you need to make sure they have an abundent supply of pods to keep them fed and healthy.
