If you can't take it there's no shame in seeing your doctor. That's what they're there for;).Short story to make you feel better.A long time ago i was cutting firewood for the winter. While working i got the oils on my hands,and.... eventually i had to urinate:eek:. 2days later I was begging the doc for a steriod shot:hehe:

Actually, that's not true. The fluid won't cause it to spread. The reason some areas of rash appear later than others is just a delayed response of your immune system to the allergen.

Calamine lotion, Benadryl or its generic (diphenhydramine--will make you sleepy) and tincture of time. Don't bother with going to doc unless trouble breathing, swollen airway (here's to hoping you didn't eat any! :))

Yikes, ok, that's another reason to go to the doc. :)

So here is a story for you.... I spent 3 months on the Space Shuttle Columbia Recovery Team... tramping through the swamps and terrain of east Texas. We had 20,000 Forest Fire Fighters helping with the search. Turns out many of the Forest Fire Fighters are American Indians.

Well, as spring hit and the Poison Ivy started growing, many of the American Indians started nibbling very, very small amounts of Poison Ivy. I thought they were nuts!!! They said that it built up their immunity to it so that it wouldn't bother them the rest of the year. Like I said, I thought they were crazy but sure enough, they did it. I wasn't willing to try it.

Reminds me of a time I was working with habanero peppers in the kitchen, then had to urinate. Likely worse pain, but definitely didn't last more than a couple hours.
