Polycrylic Protective Finish - Water-Based Clear Protective Finishes

I recently built a hood to hold/hide the lights above my fuge. I used the polycrylic sealant above to waterproof it. I sealed it on Saturday gone but there is still a very slight smell. Does this smell completely go away? Is it ok to install it now, or will the fumes be a problem? I know it is dry by now, it doesn't turn white when water touches it. Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks.

I wouldn't foresee any problems with using it. That smell may hang around a little bit. Just make sure you are running carbon. BTW, is any part of the hood touching the water or did you just water proof it to protect it from splashes and such?

It's not touching the water at all.I was just worried that i water splashed on it then leaked back into the tank if it would carry anything with it? Thanks for the help.

That's a really nice CB by the way. Any trouble?

Yea, you should be fine, you've given it plenty of time to dry. And yea, I love my CB, the only negative is that he isn't eating prepared foods right now. He does hunt all day and eat various things in the tank though. He had more purple then most other CBs.

Well at least he is eating. Hopefully he will come around soon.
