1 or 2 of my green polyps have been looking really bad all day, shrivelled up and black looking any ideas?

Hve you tried moving them? Clean them off with a soft brush under a powerhead?
Are they actually shriveling up or just not opening?

Can't move them, they are on a piece of huge rock that weighs a ton, will try brushing them see how that goes, thank you...

Nope, a big torch. Its doing great in my tank. It started as a single head and I know have 3 1/2 heads, and its only been a month.

I wouldnt worry about your GSP's for a while. They close up randomly all the time, sometimes for a week or more. Try the brush to remove any debris/bio jelly. Wait a while and see how they do.

GSP's can live in a washing machine on hot rinse cycle. Well, not really to that extreme, but they are definitely a very tolerant coral.. just keep an eye on them. Many corals have their highs and lows and will occasionally retract or close up for no apparent reason.

Can you adjust the flow? I have flow that hits my leather and sends the shed straight to the protein skimmer. This way it doesn't land on my zoas or anything else.
