pooping or puking?

is this anemone pooping or puking? it did this the other day and it's doing it again today. whatever it is, my fish seem to think it's a tasty treat :-/

 

well if im not wrong its mouth is its butt so you cant really distinguish between the two lets just say its venting waste.
when did you get this anemone? you might need to watch it because it could be expelling its zooanthelle.

 

I've had of for a few weeks now, maybe a month and yep, that's what I was thinking(puking):-/ however, just thinking about it, I did give it a big ole chunk of shrimp the other night about 2 days before the first time it did it.....

 

Yup!!! It's POOPING!!! I feed mine on Sunday and if I am lucky I can watch the fish try to eat poop on Tuesday.

 

LOL it is kinda gross but hey fish gotta eat too

 

Oh, and you don't need to feed these more than a half or a whole silverside one time per week.

 

I just give it a small chunk of shrimp every once a month or so, if I remember. I've had haitian and flower/rock before. just couldn't pass this one up...it's really a nice purple.

 

Wow, opinions vary. I was told to feed once per week. Is that too much? I have a pink-tipped anenome....and hold on to your hat when you hear the price......are you ready???.....$5.39.

oh yeah!.... I paid 8 bucks for mine...another reason why I got it.

if you watch the anemone's mouth you can tell when it's hungry. If it's tiny and closed it's not hungry, but if it swells a little and opens it's hungry "Feed me Seymour"
