Ok, this happened to me today and gave me an idea. My pair of clown fish just layed eggs on Friday. I have had them for over 4 years. The female has gotten quite aggressive when getting near her anemone in the past year and a half. To the point she draws blood. But I witnesses a whole other side of her today.

My buddy Mike a fellow reefer came today to pickup his computer that I fixed and dropped off a piece of montipora coral. He wanted to see the eggs from my clown. I told him that she was even more aggressive now, so he placed his hand above the tank and she jumped out of the tank, bounced off my head, off my chest, and onto the floor.

I grabbed her super quick and put her back onto the water. My buddy, the fish, and myself were ALL SHOCKED!!!! It was like the scene in Finding Nemo, when Nemo was bouncing off the girl's head.

So, now that everyone has gotten a laugh. What other fish has scared the hell out if you and jumped..

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    I am not surprised lol.

My adult female B/W misbar, once latched on to my finger, which I wiped out of the tank with her still attached. She flew across the room hit the wall, fell to the floor and flopped under the couch. It probably took me 3 min. to get her out. She was covered in dust bunnies. I now remove her to do any tank maintenance. ;D

This one jumped into the overflow (that I had covered, but not tightly enough, obviously) an hour after putting him in the tank. His name is now The AH (can't put the full name here LOL) because I had to take the standpipe out of the overflow & fish him out with my hand. After 2 days of pacing the surface, he's calmed down a lot now that he knows I feed him, and is (almost) a model citizen. When he's busy in the back of the tank, I tap on the front & he comes out to see me. He can't jump out of the tank because we built a new canopy and covered the back with screen, and the overflow is more tightly covered (he could land on it tho).

well, one day my friends came over to my house to play some video games.
One of my friends had never seen my tank.. since we were at my house in the morning ( skipped school lol)... the lights from the tank were turned off.

so there he was, looking at my dark tank when i suddenly turned on my lights for them to see. To my friend's surprise, my foxface was just in front of his face when i turned on the lights. ( can you see where this is headed? lol)...

so sure enough, my Foxface got startled enough to spike himself and swim top speed to the top and jump out in the direction my friend was. :O i swear he missed him by an inch..

so then, he somehow managed to get behind my tank in a position that it would be very dangerous for me to touch him. So I ran to the kitchen, grabbed a spoon and managed to move him closer to me so i could grab his tail and put him back into the tank...

talk about a day... his name is el zorro.. AKA super saiyan Foxface.. just because of how he spiked before he jumped out. LOL

    The lucky ones

Flame back angel fish - jumped when I was in the room, heard the splash and scooped it back up
True perc - some in fighting forced the smaller male to jump out, again I was in the room and scooped it back into the water

    the unfortunate ones
Gold line fairy wrasse - found under the tank after a strip down ( dried out but still able to recognise fish
Banana wrasse - found it at side of tank after work one evening - my sons fish so a second one was purchased within the week and he is none the wiser
