Okay so my current tanks are a 180 and a 55 gallon frag tank thats going to be set up Saturday(tmrw :))

My 180 currently has 2xtunzes 6025 and 1xmj1200 with 2100gph sureflow mod and about 2000gph from my two returns

heres the list of ALL the power heads i have(including ones already in the 180) so my question is what power heads would you place in what tank :)

    2xhydor k2s
    2xhydor k1s
2xmj1200 with 2100gph sure flow mod
2x6025 tunezs(which i can easily mod to do the out put of a 6055)
    3xmj1200s

the 55 gallon is going to have a HoB over flow and a 10 gallon fuge with probably a mag 3-5 for return

    Thanks in advance :)

what power heads are already in the 180 and is the 180 doing well? any cyno, dead spots etc?

55 frag tank - what are you fragging? different corals will have different needs when fragged in terms of flow - you dont want to be blasting softies / shrooms etc

so if you could list which power heads are currently spare
I for one would give it some thought and then share my opinion (There will be others hopefully)

    The 180 has
    2xtunzes
    2x1mj1200 with mod
    and return

its doing well i have some acros and extension is okay the back is kinda a dead spot

so that leaves teh following spare
    3xmj1200s
    2xhydor k1
    2xhydor k2
    1xmj1200 with sureflow mod

nothing is in the 55 as of yet, the 55 is getting set up tmrw and im going to be keeping sps and lps and zoas in the frag tank

    opinions from me

if there are dead spots at the back of the 180 you have plenty of spares on the list there to sort that out

SPS and LPS can be a problem at times - the flow that SPS require (up to 50 times tank volume or higher in some cases) does or can create issues with
"where do I put my bubble coral" as these and other fleshy corals, dont like to much water movement

saying that many people do achieve it, its often lots of trial and error with regard PH and or coral positioning
