I have a american dj power strip. Its convenient because i can control all of the lights and powerheads ext there. Can i plug a 150 watt ballast into it or do i have to plug the ballast into the wall? I dont know much about electricity but would there be too many volts going through the power strip? heres a link

Ok thanks a lot for the quick reply. Speaking of ballasts, any ideas where i should keep my ballast? it doesnt have any hanging options like nailing it to the back of the stand, and i dont have like any room around the tank. One side is a wall and "out-of-stand" phosphate reactor and on the other side there is my bed and against the stand the american dj power strip. Can i do it under the bed and keep a fan down there?

A 150 watt ballast should run just over 1.2 Amps. Long ways away from your 15 Amp limit.

A fan would be great. I have modded all my ballasts to have fans.

I wouldn't keep it under a bed. The chances of dust bunnies collecting would be alot higher. Not to mention, if a blanket or something else fell on top of it. Can you say fire hazard.
