Thanks, I really liked it when I saw it. I'm sure it will grow fast, I'll have to frag it out.

So..... I got my Apex up and running. Lve it so far. Still have some work to do getting e-mail going and web access.

I got a second MP40 and got it hooked up to my Apex using the WXM module. That is awesom. My controller has complete control over my Vortechs and I can do what ever I want with them!!!!

I got a Automated water change going now. I use my Tunze Osmolator ATO with a second pump. Her eis the thread.

I got a pink Milli with purple tips but have not had a chance to take pics.

And last but not least... I started running Warner Marine EcoBAK... it may very well change how we filter our tanks.

I'm very excited about all the changes!!!

does it just allow you to select the pre-programmed modes of the mp40 via the apex or did they take it a step further and give you some additional control?

So the vortech driver still controls modes meaning doing a reef crest...lagoon...ect. But the Apex WXM tell the driver what mode to be it, sync or antisync... ect.

So right now I have my MP40s setup to do 6 different modes anti-sinced and seperate through out the day. It runs ES drivers and those modes too if you have them. But now I am not limited to the WWD's stupid night mode. Also you can even change slave and master anytime too. The best thing is I can do one button feed modes off my Apex and turn off or slow down the MP40s with that.

All it takes is building pump profiles then timing what profile to run when.... and in those profiles is where you assign modes, intensities, and syncing. Intensity is now driven by Apex and not the silly knob on the driver.

That's impressive. And,yeah. That knob is kinda silly. One more variable handed over to automation. Less work, more control. Outstanding.

So does the Apex manipulate the Vortech's drivers, or do you simply place the Vortech on "ON, full blast," and the Apex drives it with it's own SW entirely. I'm guessing the latter??

The Apex drives it. Does not even matter where the speed dial is at on the vortech..
