    i added an adjustable valve on the air tube so i could fine tune it.it only helps a little.mines less noisy as it ages.its been running for like 5yrs.so far i only had to replace a small air hose that shrunk.

    lol...my remora puts about 1/4 inch of nasty stuff in the cup every day or two and theres nothing even living in the tank yet, may even have to raise the cup more to slow it down...I would recomend one for a tank upto 60-75 gallons depending on load, but I read with better pumps they work better yet, mines overkill on my 46 probably, you could look for a better skimmer on ebay used, thatd be a cheaper way to upgrade, then sell yours or keep it as a back up
