I've been hearing about this but I'm not sure either. Scott help us out here before we start adding margaritas to the tank.

I've been using Zeovit for about 18 months now. I have very positive things to say about it. Although, in resent weeks I have cause some major problems when I set up my frag tank and had a 400W MH spilling directly into the Zeovit media. This of course caused a major bacteria bloom. Then I had my Alk go way high, This caused several Acro's to RTN.

That being said, I do not blame this on Zeo, despite it's tighter tolerances, but instead on my lack of attention to details.

Over all I would say most bacteria based systems have great benefits to system, but it's not for everyone.

If I could suggest that we start new threads for questions on each of the systems talked about in this thread. Perhaps one on Zeovit, one on Vodka dosing, and this one could remain about Prodibio.

    Just a thought

new member here. i'm just looking for info on prodibio. a buddy of mine gave me some to try out: biodigest and biooptim. are those two the right combo? i'm under the impression that one is bacteria and the other is a source of carbon or food for the bacteria.
