    congratulations
If things spawn in your tank, I always feel thats a good sign -
if you run carbon, your water will clear quickly and your skimmer will work overtime also

Thanks!! Yeah, I figure that can't be a bad thing.....I just don't know about the feather duster......Tricky, tricky! He is still alive though, hanging out in his/her/its tube.

it will grow new stubby feathers shortly and they will eventually grow into a full new crown

I had it happen to mine many years ago and I dont recall how long it took, but I do recall they grew back

Awesome, thank you!! I keep reading stories of the worms just dropping their crowns and dying but I figure this is for a different reason so....

I checked all my parameters just to be sure but I figure if the duster went down for anything wrong so would the other inverts as well as the other dusters all over the tank :)

So last night was the first time since my last post that I'd seen my feather duster. He popped his PUNY crown out for a few. I'm so relieved that he's back!!! I left his tube alone completely even though I started to think he might be dead. He's not dead so.....AWESOME!

Went to the LFS last night and couldn't help myself....

I picked up a cleaner shrimp and a psychadelic mandarin!! Mandarin is trained to eat frozen brine and such but my tank is teeming with pods of all sorts :D

Also picked up two more Koralias (Just the nanos) and my clown is loving it!! The mandarin, strangely, is also liking it and kind of looks like a dolphin swimming in the current :D

    GREATTTTTTTTTTTTT news today!!

Went into my LFS today to pick up some goods. They carry cyclopeeze I found out and picked some up. Tank went absolutely insane for it!!

I also picked up a tester batch of brine, took them home and fed them some crushed flake food....waited for them to turn red (food is red, therefore eating....yeah, you get it...) and dumped a few in. AWESOMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE, the mandarin sat and looked around for a bit. One swam close and SLURP! The mandarin is now ACTIVELY hunting the brine!

Now I have to figure out where to get a 3 or 5 gallon tank, small pump and airstone for breeding them. Can we say WAY cheaper than seeding copepods (even though they're all over the tank I worry the mandarin will deplete the stock too quickly)? LMAO.

Mandarin was so into the hunt she was flairing her dorsal "flag" and her side fins (the ones that flutter like sheer curtains in the breeze) were moving so quickly I could barely see the blue. I'd never seen her hunt like that!!!! So excited right now!! I have the rest in a tupperware sitting on my mantle with some food. No airstone yet but the top is open. I also have to pick up a heater but hey, it's worth it!!
