    Hello,

I have a 72 gallon bow front aquarium ready for salt water. I want to build a 30 gallon sump/fuge right under the tank.

My question is what protein skimmers have you guy/girls used that you can recommend (don't mind spending some money), that have worked for you? The skimmer can be for a 72 gal. or bigger size.

Also there are various types of systems (Spray, Air, Needle, Venturi, etc.). I just want to know what the different types are about and which is considered best of the types.

Please let me know if it's in or out of sump

A list of better skimmers, a link to a location or a link to another thread would be awesome.

I'm also very interested in your opinion about these skimmers and yourrecommendations, so please help me out.

    Thank you. :)

The coral life is alright, but IMO, nothing special. I have a Precision Marine (PM) RL125. It's part of their relatively new redline series. It's a great skimmer. It's built very well, nice and solid, thick acrylic, and has worked flawlessly for me. Easy to clean and take care of and has a small footprint so it will fit in just about any sump.

I have seen nothing but good reviews on these and they give you room to upgrade your tank without having to get a new skimmer at the same time.

Yea, BTW, you will get a ton of different skimmers that people like. There are many good skimmers, and different types have their benefits.
