I'm new to this game, just converted over from freshwater. I just bought the Aqua Med Turbofloater SL skiimmer for my aquarium. I have a 55 gallon. aquarium. I was wondering how do i set the flow properly and what should i be looking for. Right now there is a cyclone in the one outtake tube and a steady supply of bubles coming out.

just as long as you don't get water in collection cup you want foamy bubbles that then break down to green smelly liquid. The water line should be near the base of the neck of the cup.

on average how much should this be pulling out daily or weekly. Somedays it fills up half way and others there's nothing.

it all depends on what is going on in the tank if you haven't run a skimmer in awhile then you may have to empty it once a day but if the tank is normal operation then maybe once every week. I would just look for thick smelly gunk then you know it is running good.
