AKA the Neon Dottyback. Just saw one for the first time at a lfs and man they are colorful little guys!! Swims around so fast it almost looks like a colorful eel!

I know Dottys are aggressive little buggers, are their any nonagressive fish that look similiar to these little guys? It would be for a 46gal reef with plenty of liverock. I may decide not to add anything else as I think I am already stocked well enough but wouldnt mind adding a small little fish that wont impact the bioload much

I believe the orchid dottyback is less aggressive, but they cost a bit more though. +side they eat bristleworms.

There's a good few damsels (besides clowns) that I'd try before any dottyback. If added last with the right space and rockwork some aren't bad. You could look into getting a basslet too though. That would be more ideal.

I figured it would bea terrible idea, might mess with my melanarus wrasse or starfish. I guess I will just admire it at the lfs and maybe get one when I set up the 26gal as a mini reef tank

Not sure if it would bother your wrasse and I don't think it would bother your starfish but they will mess with any other rockdwellers big time.I added a purple sudo to my 40breeder a couple weeks ago and within a few days he claimed all of the rockwork, evicting my pygmy hawkfish which now resides in the corner of the tank.My yellow watchman which is pretty large seems to be able to stand his ground but does recieve some harassment.
