    I wouldnt say weekly. I trim mine probably monthly. I dont know the preferred method but I keep a clean pair of surgical scissors on hand. Just reach in snip & toss it out. Yes toss it out because I cant even give them away anymore.

    Alright that's not so bad. Definatly worth it for such a show stopper.

    i just pinch the heads that are shading something off at the rock with my finger nails. than those piece you can frag, i just take a piece of sewing thread and wrap it around the xenia and the rock to hold the xenia to the rock for a few days till it takes hold.

    One thing worth mentioning (depending on what else is in your tank) is that in my experience they don't like super clean water. If you're one that keeps 0 nitrates, they may not grow much at all. I've also found that they don't do well in new tanks (less than 6 months or so)

    Thank you, I'll keep that in mind. They seem different from other soft corals, LA says they need moderate-high lights.

    they can live under very basic lighting and the chances are you can support them evan stock bio cube lighting can do it

    Yeah, they do like direct light, but nothing major like MH or anything.
