They're an odd coral some only pulse certain times a day where others will pulse 24/7. What type of flow are they in? Mine tend to like a steady flow but only pulse in the evening.

What type of flow is it in? When I first added mine they did not pulse. I changed the flow so that it was not directly moving the stalks and they seemed to like that and began pulsing shortly after that.

Give it some time and put under low flow. Mine did the same thing and I was bummed out, then about 2 weeks later, I had the pumps off doing a water change and I noticed it starting to pulse, now it does it like crazy! Patience is the key!

Also, mine took a month to start pulsing after I added it to my tank. Just give it time, a little flow, and a lot of light.

Stir up a little sand around them...sometimes that gets them to pulse as well
