Xenia is very easy to keep and a nice first coral - you want to place it on a rock that doesn't contact any other rocks, it will spread like weeds... Your lighting should be fine for Xenia... Hope this helps!! - Nathan

Thanks Nathan. I may have a problem placing it on a rock that doesn't connect to another one, all my rocks are touching each other.

on a rock that will be easy to remove without moving any other rock is really what he means.

anytime the xenia is about to grow to an adjacent rock, pull the main one out and cut it back. you have to keep it under control ;)

i have had to do this once in the past 8 months... your mileage may vary

No problem - it will just spread to different rocks over time... Its easy enough to pull out and give to a friend or flush, but it does spread quickly. I've heard of people keeping them under standard NO lights too. - Nathan

Do you live near a city? People give Xenia away around here or maybe charge $5-$10. $20 plus shipping is kind of a rip off. If you can find a local reef club or group you can find that stuff easy.

Check and see if there is a club around you.. Reefers will give it to you, plus
    other frags..

Well turns out out there is an aquarium club in my city so I asked around and one guy is giving me a frogspawn with 3 heads and a frag of green zoos! Will these two corals do OK under 10k pc lighting?
