    Hi
My reef tank dimensions (79" x 24" x 29") and I have two wavemakers (ocean prop 15000). And I want to buy new water pump suitable to my tank but I do not know how many gallons pump should push to the tank per hour?

Some people say that we should consider wave makers power when we choose pump's capacity! :-/

    Note: the wavemakers' capacity between (15000 – 5000 l/h)

Most people will tell you 3 to 5 times the display volume is a good number for the return pump. In your case with those dimensions you tank holds about 230 gallons so you want something in the 700 to 1200 GPH range. I would use 1000 GPH at 5 feet of head as a good starting point myself. I think the Water Blaster HY-5000 would be a good choice myself.

I have had very good luck with Ocean Runner pumps owning 4 of them myself but would like to try a water Blaster one day.
