    Ok.
I am wanting to get a small water pump to help me with water changes.
It needs to be able to lift the water at least 24" preferibily higher.
It doesn't need to be fancy I just want something that I can attach a hode to and isn't real expensive.
Any recommndations on what brand and where to get one from is appreciated.

I like the Via Aqua pumps for that purpose. They're cheap and effective.

You can always ask the LFS if they have any used pumps, I picked one up for 5 bucks and it works great for that. Juat pulled it apart and gave it a good cleaning. (which they said they did, but I just wanted piece of mind)

The only LFS I have is Petco and they of course dont sell used equpiment.
The next closest place is in Memphis which is an hour-2 from me and I don't go that often

I use a maxi jet 1200 for mixing and water changes. Takes me 2-3 minutes to do a waterchange. I use a 1/2" 4 foot tubing to do this.

+another one on the maxijet for water changes. The plastic tubing fits right over the spout and makes water changes easy.
