So was going to buy a carbon reactor and carbon, but i have read so many bad things that have happened because of carbon, HLLE, and i am just not sure about it. But then i found purigen, and have read great things about it.

Anyone use it? have experience with it?

anyone recommend it? or against it?

i also think there should be a new section of the forum made for questions about reef related products. haha

I dont think you should associate activated carbon with bad results. Most reefers wouldnt run their tank without the use of carbon, but to each their own. Almost any filter media can damage your tank if not used properly. I have played with Purigen a bit and didnt notice anything more than carbon would have done for my tanks.
