It originated on one rock and it is now spreading. On the one rock it is a layer, not dots. The whole thing isnt covered but... Then it spread to another rock but on that rock, its like dots of the purple stuff. here is a picture of the layer of the purple stuff on the rock and then the rock with the dots. Anything i should be concerned of? its not thick.

i dont think it is cyno because it isnt hairy or "3-D". i know what you are thinking though. Thanks for the quick response. does coraline usually grow on the rocks first and then the glass? Does it take time to grow on the glass?

what if my liverock didnt come with coralline. is that even possible that it is coralline? just out of curiosity. I think mine did come with it but... Cause i hear that it needs to start somewhere and you either have to buy it already on the liverock or buy a chemical or get some coralline scrapings

I don't think its cyano. Try to remove it, if it is cyano it will come off.

cyano usually doesnt appear in several small dots like that, seperate from each other.

Just try rubbing it... if it comes off, its cyano.... if it doesnt- its corraline.
