Purple tech?

    I was wondering does purple tech really work? Fellow 3reefer Greebs gave me the product to try out. I dosed my 20 gallon and my 3 gallon, but with my 3 gallon not being done with its cycle could this feed the other undesirable algae growth? i have a hair algae problem in my 20 and it has been making pull my hair out for about the last 3 months.
    it appeared to have worked well in Greebs' tank, but should i be expecting results without some already coralline covered rock to seed the tank?
    hmmm... questions questions....;)

    Looks quite similar to Caribsea Purple Up. If so, it won't cause any hair algae problems.
