Purple up!

To take another perspective, I know coralline sounds awesome but honestly if your tank parameters are good you may quickly come to regret ever having sped up its growth once you have to scrape it off your glass every week. ;D

I didn't scrape my side panels for a couple weeks while I was busy planning a new tank system and I'm paying for it now, it's so thick on one of the side panels that I can't even reliably chip it off with a scraper, I may have to get a razor blade in there and show it who's boss.

Regarding purple up, I just think its too expensive for what you get out of it. It's basically calcium and magnesium/strontium and some other mysterious bits. You can get that stuff cheaper.

 

u know we all lend a helping hand to each other , when i wrote my response it was my feeble attempt to help nightstick with his problem not to start a whos smarter contest imo all opinions and advice should be welcomed every persons tank is unique.all we should be trying to do is help
