    Thinking about pickin up a pygmy flameback angel for my mixed reef, thoughts, pros/cons....

    Angels are very hit or miss when it comes to whether they have an appetite for coral or not. With this being said, most of the time they become pretty bold in the aquarium so it isn't that hard to coax them into a trap if you have to. Does the risk outweigh the reward?

    I had one and absolutely loved it.

    Brightly colored and very active.

    Problems arose when he started nipping my clams, next came removing the water to a
    a point where I could finally catch him.

    Yah , I've read clams and some stony corals, none of that right now in tanks, had before, stickig with softies right now besides my monti cap....

    My buddy had a coral beauty that he was fully convinced it was nipping at a piece of milliipora in his tank. He spent a week trying to catch the fish and AFTER he caught the fish, he pulled the coral just to realize that the fish hadn't been nipping the coral at all. It was perfectly clean.

    No guarantee either way with angels.
