Howdy - old salt tank guy here; several setups for reef and sea plin since '95
But got something new! Came across this 12 gallon Pyrex bottle. It was used in a lab water still (circa 1975 design). It has a bottom opening of 2" dia
and a top of 2 1/2". The goal is to make an unusual tank, likely fresh water,
and use concentric pipes through the bottom for water filtration and air stone supply. The top has a cylindrical housing which goes over the top neck and will contain a small fan for air pull-through. Any thoughts would be welcome.

    Welcome to 3reef

That seems like a very interesting tank. The setup sounds good. Best of luck.
