QT Food algae tank?

    Would it be smart to start a small tank just to grow the algae these vegetarians eat? Or would that be slightly redundant seeing that the tank itself is a bio-system?

    I have no room in my wet/dry sump, so growing down there is out of the question.

    that why you can buy sea weed and algae in sheets.and they will find stuff to pick at anyway
